Chapter 2

- Arthur's POV -


Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.


Clock's ticking finally woke me up from my sleep. Opening my eyes I started to realize my normal surroundings again.

'What time is it?'

I gazed up to my wall to see the clock point to a little past twelve. I sat up and checked my phone.


August 14th.

12:04.


I look outside and remember the annoying sound of crickets.

'I need some fresh air...Bloody hell!'

I changed my clothes, washed my face and rushed out of the door. I was supposed to meet [Name] today!


She was already waiting for me when I reached the park. Trying to catch my breath I walked up to her and greeted her with my best smile.


~Timeskip ~


We had walked around the park and sat on one of the benches again. The weather was same like yesterday, hot and sunny. Silence fell between us as we both sank into our thoughts.


After a moment I spoke up.

"You know it's a little strange..."

"What is?" [Name] asked confused.

I hesitated a moment. 'How should I put this...I don't want to seem like a psycho to her.' I sigh and start slowly.

"Well...Yesterday. I had a dream...." I gaze up to her carefully and continue. "We were walking in this exact same park. "

"Is that so?" She asked lightly.

'This is awkward. Maybe I shouldn't have said it...'

Then suddenly it hit me. Everything about yesterday. It ran infront of my eyes. The cat, the truck, the accident.

"No!" I got up remembering the scent of her and her blood...

"What is it?!" [Name] jumped up and looked into my shoked eyes worry shining in her own
beautiful [Eye color] orbs. I could spend days just looking at them.


'Oh how I love her...'


I took her hand "Nothing. Why don't we go home now?"

Her puzzled look turned into a small smile as she nodded. I began to lead the two of us out of the park.

'The same can not happen again. Bloody hell no. Now just quickly to home. It's going to be fine, Arthur. Just focus on this.'

The pathway ended and the second you stepped off of it...

The mood changed. The breeze felt just a bit colder, the scent of summerday got  a strange addition. Everyone around us gasped, pointed out up on a sky or turned their heads up in terror.


- Reader's POV -


'Why is everyone...?'


Next thing I felt was pain. So hard pain that I almost couldn't feel it. Almost.

From the bright summer sky above me, down dropped a big iron pole that pierced right throught my body. It was nearly impossible but I guess it was just my luck.

Your screams filled the air and the whole park. And somewhere far away I  would have bet that I heard a faint sound of windchymes.


- Arthur's POV -


Only my own screams were heard.

'Not again. I was too late. I...I...This is all my fault!'

As I rushed to your side I ran past the same boy. The one who looked like me but with really strange eyes and it looked like he was...shimmering? He loudly sneered at me telling me once again.

"This is the real thing, poppet!"
